Glamping with Abby

Got a Tinyhouse Airbnb with Abby in the middle of nowhere this weekend. Was super relaxing  – had no cell service so it was nice to just disconnect.

The Scottish Highlands

Took a tour of the Scottish Highlands today – left from Edinburgh early in the morning and then drove up to Inverness and back. Saw Loch Ness & the Bravehart memorial along the way.

Overall, a really stunning, unique landscape. Giant rolling hills that are so vividly green with very little trees.

Was pretty grey/rainy today but I suppose that’s what most days are like here.

Edinburgh Old Town

Staying in Edinburgh in the Old Town neighborhood for the next few days. A very unique setting, sort of built on a hill with a very Castle-like feel.

Also there is a castle on top of a hill that sort of overlooks everything.

Kinda feels like what I would imagine Diagon Alley would be like in Harry Potter (probably explains many of the Harry Potter-themed shops).

Visiting Dublin

First time in Europe since I was 5 years old. Dublin is beautiful and so densely packed with restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shops. Seems like there’s endless things to do.

Lowertown Bar & Cafe

One of my favorite spots in Kerrytown (technically Lowertown, hence the name), but is just an awesome spot in the spring and summer to do work and hangout.

Their outdoor space is awesome and in the afternoon you can even order drinks which is a fun transition. Abby & I liked to call the this “Coldbrews to Cold Brews”

Concert at the Blind Pig

Late Christmas gift to Abby was concert tickets to Josiah & the Bonnevilles with Mon Rovia as the opener (at the Blind Pig).

This was an incredible concert, both artists were awesome and the venue was pretty sweet. Helps that the venue was also just a short walk from our apartment, which made it super convenient.

A Week In Key West

Spent the week in Key West this week – was nice to get out of the Michigan grey in early March – really makes you happier.

Had to leave Hunny with my parents which is sad, but I’m sure she’s still having fun.

Book by Andrew Wilkinson

Cover of Never Enough
Never Enough279 pages

Just wrapped up reading this book by Andrew Wilkinson. Wanted to read it because he started as a designer and then turned into an entrepreneur/software guy, and that journey is something I can relate to.

Started reading the book on the flight down to Key West and finished it within like 4 days which is rare for me.
