Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer

Super interesting book about the unknown and exploration in a post-apocalyptic world. Really my first time reading any thing science-fiction/horror and I thought it was pretty fun.

This is the first book of three in the Southern Reach series so, I plan on reading the next two. Although, the internet says the second book is pretty boring so I may just have to power through it because the third one is supposed to be really good.

There’s also a movie about this book, so I should definitely give it a watch.

Sphere by Michael Crichton

Awesome book about deep-sea exploration & science fiction. Thought this book was super captivating. Not usually a fiction guy but I’m trying to get more into so that reading can be more casual for me – want to learn to just relax by reading as opposed to having to feel productive while doing it.

I guess the author was the same guy who wrote Jurassic Park, and that made a ton of sense because the parallels were pretty clear.

Just wrapped up reading this book by Andrew Wilkinson. Wanted to read it because he started as a designer and then turned into an entrepreneur/software guy, and that journey is something I can relate to.

Started reading the book on the flight down to Key West and finished it within like 4 days which is rare for me.

Great book about keeping your ego in check, many great quotes, anecdotes and learnings – exactly what you’d want in a self-help sort of book.
